When should you report a user?
  • Suspicious requests:

    If a buyer or seller asks for sensitive information or even personal financial and other data, you should report it immediately.

  • Aggressive communication:

    You should report aggressive sales tactics, harassment or coercion immediately - for your own safety, but also to protect other users.

  • Fraudulent activities:

    Attempts at deception, misleading information, or fraudulent activities should be reported immediately to prevent potential harm to all users.

How to report someone
  • Reporting function:

    If you notice suspicious behavior, click on the menu with three dots in the header of the message. There you will find the option "Report".

  • Details:

    After clicking "Report," you will be prompted to categorize the problematic behavior. This facilitates processing your report.

  • Anonymity:

    Your report is anonymous; the reported user will not be informed about your report.

What happens after you report?
  • Thorough review:

    Upon receipt of your report, mobile.de investigates the behavior and actions of the reported user.

  • Appropriate Measures:

    Based on our findings, we take appropriate measures. This may include issuing a warning to the reported user, restricting their access to certain features, or, if necessary, completely banning the account.

  • Feedback and Transparency:

    After completing our investigation, we provide you with feedback. This will be done within the message thread, at the location where you reported the user. This way, you stay informed throughout the process.
